Martine ALISON, FRANCE

Description of the Artwork
For those who love the street and its spontaneous poetic expressions, this painting is a nod to this open-air studio in Lisbon's Alfama district.
We marvel at Street Art, perhaps forgetting that cavemen brilliantly practiced their craft on cave walls.
I'll let you in on a little secret!
In the 1980s, Martine Alison perceived graffiti as degradation, visual pollution.
She considered it art-vandalism!
Little by little, her attitude evolved considerably...
Some of the graffiti had the power to surprise and move her.
The worst sometimes rubs shoulders with the best, but it's up to the viewer to decide...
The wasteland of the Patio de Dom Fradique in the Alfama district is home to Snoopy the dog, his friend Woodstock the little yellow one, and his master Charlie Brown. I, Leo the toucan, find Woodstock really strange! He flies and talks backwards!
Snoopy always has extravagant attitudes... He's funny, a bit philosophical, and he walks on his two hind legs.
He hurtles down and jumps over a wall on his skateboard! Will the two little girls rise to the challenge?
I invite you to admire the second part of this two-part series with the second little girl...
