Martine ALISON, FRANCE

Description of the Artwork
With the drought, the harvest schedule had accelerated!
There was a buzz in the various vineyards of La Cadière-d'Azur. Pruning shears and pruning knives were at work!
Several estates had decided to harvest by hand at night.
The vines are surrounded by century-old olive trees and scrubland.
Some plots overlook the Mediterranean and the Gulf of La Ciotat...
In Martine Alison's painting, a vivacious young lady with bare legs sits in the vines... with a magnificent view of the hilltop village of La Cadière-d'Azur in the distance.
Will the wine be better with such a lovely harvester?...
The two little troublemakers in the foreground aren't looking at her. They're more concerned with stealing the grapes than trying to seduce the pretty young lady!
They're going about their business smoothly! I, Léo the toucan, am about to conquer this charming young lady! I'm waiting for her at the end of the furrow...
To attract her attention, I'm wearing a funny hat.
Martine Alison paints to music, letting herself be carried away by her emotions, and the music helped her choose the colors!
With her little brushes, she told us the story of "The Beautiful Harvester of La Cadière-d'Azur"...
