Description of the Artwork

Martine Alison a eu beaucoup de bonheur à peindre cette toile. Ce coin de Bretagne où elle a séjourné, Plouescat, situé sur la côte nord du Finistère, qu'on appelle la "côte des légendes", a une grande variété de paysages dans un espace réduit. Ses enfants y ont vécu durant quelques années.
Elle a travaillé les blocs de granit qui offrent des formes étranges et fantastiques.
Elle n'était pas habituée à peindre l'océan et la plage. Elle a un peu souffert, mais c'était une souffrance jouissive, puisqu'elle a renforcé et accru son envie de bien aboutir.
