Cette oeuvre a un petit goût de souvenances. Elle évoque des moments agréables passés dans une région qui avait charmée Martine Alison, la Vallée des moulins en Normandie.
On y retrouve dans son dessin cette plante géante, assez spectaculaire, le Gunnera, également nommée nourriture pour dinosaures.
La roue du moulin du hameau de Carneville est représentée près de sa petite femme.
Moi, Léo le toucan, j'aurais bien aimé apparaître dans cette toile !
Je peux fort bien cohabiter avec cette oie ! Je ne souffre pas d'ocaphobie et je me sens capable d'apprivoiser cet oiseau de basse-cour, qui pourra cacarder aussi longtemps qu'il le voudra !
Ce fut pour Martine-Alison une belle manière de faire un petit clin d'oeil à la Normandie, tout en essayant d'attraper avec son pinceau la lumière et les couleurs.
