This work is part of Hélène Vac’s ongoing exploration of the landscapes of Arcachon Bay, where colour becomes a tool for transforming reality and structuring space.

A path lined with wooden sand fences leads through a canopy of pine trees toward the sea. The composition is developed in a tonal range of yellows and ochres, enriched with touches of pale pink and very light blue. In the distance, the sea, painted in vivid azo yellow, radiates through the landscape and draws the eye toward the horizon.

Working from photographs and memories reinterpreted in the studio, the artist gradually distances the painting from its original source. Simplified forms and a restrained palette allow the work to focus on light, atmosphere, and perception rather than literal description.

Balancing between figurative landscape painting and abstraction, the work seeks to convey the sensory experience of the Atlantic coast, where light, colour, and memory merge into a reimagined vision of place.

This artwork is currently presented in a high-quality black wooden frame fitted with anti-reflective acrylic glazing, providing protection while preserving the visibility of colours and details.

The artwork can be shipped framed, in a custom transport crate, or unframed, carefully rolled in a protective tube to facilitate international shipping
