There are two of them – and they are now a single face.
Their noses touch, their foreheads draw close. The kiss in my work is not a gesture – it is a new geography taking shape between two beings.
But above them – their hair tells the story.
The red hair intertwines and in this natural nest, this braid of two merged heads of hair – a nest. With eggs. White, round, tranquil eggs, laid there as if it were the most natural thing in the world for a nest to be born when two heads draw close.
On the left – the white feather gently escaping.
On the right – the pink bird on its perch, keeping watch.

The bird knows what the eggs contain. That is why it is already there.

I have painted what a kiss truly produces –
not fireworks, not a dizzying rush, but a nest in the hollow of intertwined hair, containing within it something
that did not exist before.
