This work is part of Hélène Vac’s ongoing exploration of Atlantic coastal landscapes, here seen from the elevated dunes of the protected natural site of Contis. The gaze moves across the pine forest, follows the Courant winding through the الرمال dunes, and opens toward the ocean.

In the foreground, a cluster of pines shaped by sea air anchors the composition. Depth is constructed through successive planes, from vegetation to water, leading to the horizon line.

The palette remains close to natural tones, combining greens, flesh pinks, blues, and greys, with subtle accents of violet and fluorescent pink that activate the surface.

Executed in acrylic on paper, the painting combines flat areas and fine lines, creating a spontaneous, sketch-like quality. The motif remains recognisable yet simplified, allowing colour and gesture to structure the space.

Balancing between figuration and abstraction, the work conveys a sense of air, light, and movement rather than a precise depiction of place.
