This project approaches landscape as something constructed through colour rather than described. Starting from a simple motif, horizon, dunes, vegetation, the painting seeks to evoke a sense of openness and spatial breathing.

The composition is structured by a horizon line that contrasts a calm sky, rendered in a golden-green wash, with a more unstable foreground shaped by the undulation of dunes and the nervous, calligraphic strokes of reeds. This tension between stillness and movement defines the image.

Executed in acrylic on paper through successive washes, the work relies on transparency, layering, and economy of means. Red accents punctuate the surface and activate specific areas.

The work extends an ongoing exploration of Atlantic coastal landscapes, reworked in the studio from photographs and memory. This shift allows the motif to be transformed, with colour becoming the primary agent of construction.

Between figuration and abstraction, the painting does not aim to represent a place, but to convey an open, sensory, and unstable experience
