A series of wash studies in petrol blue, turquoise, and white, with a touch of fluorescent yellow. Derived from a single viewpoint, these variations unfold endlessly in a search for balance between sky, pines, shoreline, and horizon.

The brushwork remains highly visible, executed in a single, continuous gesture, occasionally reinforced with thicker passages to intensify the light and bring it forward through the vertical rhythm of the trunks. As if inverted, the foreground seems to recede, drawn toward the luminosity of the sky.
