The works of an artist must reflect her/his journey. Evolving into art is experimenting and going through styles or eras. It is in this state of mind that Severine C. Camus wished to explore the geometric style on her journey. In love with words and lines specific to architecture, the artist has placed on the canvas a word that can be translated into French and English, compacting the letters together. Drawn in straight lines, they form a set akin to the symbolism of waveforms, which the eye will like to interpret. The letters were worked with Indian ink, a medium of the artist’s affection and with imperfect asperities, which required a special primer for adhesion. A single detail on a letter affixes colors in a small square.

The artist abandoned the geometric collection in order to evolve towards a style she considers freer. The works that have emerged from it therefore remain witnesses of an artistic path, rich and in movement.
