Biography

Presentation

All of Ruben's paintings featured on the website form a visual symphony where nature, architecture and everyday scenes blend together in a vibrant and expressive palette. The dominant style is impressionist, enriched with post-impressionist and sometimes expressionist touches, with visible impasto and free brushwork. Flowers—peonies, roses, hydrangeas, poppies—are omnipresent, celebrated for their vitality and fragility. The urban landscapes and flower-filled interiors evoke a gentle way of life, between memory and light. We find the influence of Monet in the light, Van Gogh in the texture, Bonnard in the colourful intimacy, and Matisse in the decorative motifs. Each canvas seems to capture a breath, a fleeting emotion, a suspended moment. Familiar objects become poetic, deserted streets vibrate with a silent presence. It is a painting of the sensitive, the living, the contemplative. It invites us to slow down, to look, to feel.
